GCC0331 - April Showers...

It's another new week over at the Outlawz Challenge board. This week our theme is Anything Goes since it is the last week of the month. Come on over and play along. I used this Bella Blvd sketch I saw on Pinterest. I had to move the circle and sentiment a little based on where the image had white space available.

The sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine. I chose to use Emily Spring Blossoms.

TCCCB0326 - Chat IM Text

This week at the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, the theme is to add doodles to your project. I have been seeing some really cool doodled images on Pinterest so of course, that is the direction I went in. I didn't hand doodle all this since I wanted to use a lot of my stamps that I own already. I started stamping the flower images and then hand doodled in the flower petals and in between the flowers in the white space. I then colored with Copic markers, American Craft alcohol markers, and Sharpies. This was super fun and you will be seeing this technique again for sure. I have tons more stamps that will work perfectly and didn't get a change to see what they all would look like.

The sponsor this week is Art by MiRan. The image is called Hey You. Hop on over to her store and pick out your favorite images.

GCC0324 - Thank you

It's already March 24. I know...you've heard me say that time is flying the last few weeks. It just seems that I can't catch up. Anywho, it's a brand new week over at the Outlawz and we have another fun and exciting theme this week - add texture. Come on over and play along. I chose this image, Blingy Mermaid with shoe by Aurora Wings because I love the water and knew that this image would be perfect for adding water-like texture. I colored the vellum with alcohol markers and kept going over it until it looked like water.

GCC0317 - Aloha

It's another new week over at the Outlawz Challenge boards. Our theme this week is to use green or St. Patrick's Day. I love this image. Maybe, it's because I absolutely fell in love with Hawaii and Tahiti or because I love palm trees. Lucky for me, in Arizona, I get to see Palm Trees every day. All I'm missing is the beach. This image kind of takes me away and places me on a tropical island. I used this scrapbook page from Pinterest as my inspiration. I used pop dots behind the main panel to make it pop.

The Sponsor this week is: Lacy Sunshine and I chose the image called Eleanor and Pickles hula

TCCCB0312 - Grow & Bloom

This card is for the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, TCCCB0312 challenge. The theme this week is to use flowers. I shocked myself when I made a card with only four layers. WOW. I tried something a little different with this card. I stamped my sentiment on a transparency. I embossed it with clear ep so it wouldn't rub off the transparency. My Stazon pad is dry so I couldn't use that. I used pop dots under the main image so it stands out a little. I really like the papers in this Basic Grey pack.

GCC0310 - How've you bean?

This week over at the Outlawz, the theme is coffee and friends - the perfect blend. I wanted buy this stamp set just so I could get this sentiment. Boy oh boy...we crafter's are loco when we do that. I imagine it happens a lot more than we all want to admit. I created the coffee cup from my Cricut and fussy cut the angel out. The angel was sitting on a pedestal but I cut her out and added her to the coffee cup. I had this idea as soon as I knew the theme and saw the images. This will be for a friend who loves angels and coffee. (Her name not listed because she'll receive the card soon. She'll know who she is when she sees this post!). I used papers from a new paper pack from The Paper Studio. They are so pretty but really out of my norm for colors. I molded the cup and the wings on the angel so they had dimension. I added pop dots down the center of each to help keep the shape.

Update: 03/26/2014 - Hop on over to Cara's blog to see the post about this card. I am glad she liked it.

This week the sponsors are: Scrapper's Delights Paper Crafts and Guylou's Inimitability Digi Stamps.

GCC0303 - Scream and Shout

It's a new week over at the Outlawz and that means a new challenge has been posted. This week, the theme is Music to my Ears. Use your favorite song title as the sentiment. This week, the sponsors are: Digi Stamps 4 Joy, The Stamping Chef, Scrapper's Delights, and Nice Crane. I chose the digi image called Soapbox by The Stamping Chef. This card sure isn't in my norm. It's so few layers. If you count all the layers of the music bar, there are a lot on the card, but three only if you only count the music bar as one layer. Wow. I didn't know I could make a card with that few layers. I added atyou Spica Glitter Pen to the bow in her hair, dress and megaphone.

I started off using this sketch off Pinterest, not sure it follows it exactly.

What better way to honor my Aunt Cindy than with a card that has music on it? I miss her so much and think about her every single day. She was so talented with singing and for me looking like her...I sure didn't inherit that.

Come on over and join in the fun. We'd love to see your musical creations.
